Vacation

Over April break, i did many things. My family and I went to Hingham, MA and went out to lunch at Wahlburgers. After that we walked around Hingham Harbor and went back home. But this vacation was mainly spent with hockey. The 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs were on all week and my dad, grandfather, and I were watching game after game if`the Bruins weren't on. When the Bruins were on, we were getting all tensed up because the games were so nerve racking. The Bruins came off with a huge overtime win Sunday night to force a game 7 back here in Boston. When the OT goal was scored by the 20 year old Tyler Seguin, my house erupted with excitement and screams. Wednesday they will play game 7, and my family and I are all desperately wanting a game 7 victory from the Bruins.

Senior Service

I am doing my senior service at Holy Name Parish School in West Roxbury, MA. I am a graduate of Holy Name, where i graduated in 2006. I think it would be fun to end my senior year where I first began school. I will be working with all ages of children from kindergarten to sixth graders. On Wednesday March 7, i went to Holy Name for my first day of senior service, and couldn't have asked for a better site. I enjoyed every minute of it, and loved the kids, faculty and staff. I can't wait to go back every single Wednesday till the end of the year, and I can already tell that these young kids are going to find a piece of heart.

Our Lady of the Pillar

Our Lady of the Pillar is the name given to the Blessed Virgin Mary for her claimed appearance during the start of Christianity in Spain. She is considered the Patroness of the country and also the Spanish Civil Guard. Our Lady of the Pillar appeared in Spain long after the crucifixion and the rise from the dead of Her son Jesus. This happened long after her death as well. 

Christianity is the most popular religion in Spain, and it all started when Our Lady of the Pillar, or the Blessed Mother appeared. The date that she appeared is unknown, but sources say she was near a church in December late at night. She wasn't on or in the church, just near it. That church is now called Our Lady of the Pillar Church. She didn't say anything when she appeared, she just stood still and did the sign of the cross. Ever since that day is Spain, Christianity has been the most popular religion in Spain.
